This chili recipe is, indeed, a really nightmare! Taste it only when curiosity becomes unbearable and courage is strong! :o)

Ingredients:

1 cup Pinto beans, dried

1 tsp Paprika

5 cups Water

1 Nutmeg, ground, whole

2 tbsp Lard

1 tsp Cumin

1 tbsp Bacon drippings

2 tsp Oregano, dried, pref. Mexican

1 Onion

4 tbsp Sesame seeds

12 oz Pork sausage, country-style

1 cup Almonds, blanched, skins removed

1 lb Beef, coarse grind

12 Red chiles, whole dried

4 Garlic cloves

1 tsp Anise

1 1/2 oz Milk chocolate, small pieces

1/2 tsp Coriander seeds

1 can Tomato paste (6oz ea)

1/2 tsp Fennel seeds

2 tbsp Vinegar

1/2 tsp Cloves, ground

3 tsp Lemon juice

1 Cinnamon stick, ground

1 Soft tortilla, chopped

1 tsp Black pepper, freshly ground

Salt

Instructions for this special chili recipe:

Place the rinsed beans in a bowl, add 2 to 3 cups of water and soak overnight. Check the beans occasionally and add water as necessary to keep them moist. Pour the beans and the water in which they were soaked into a heavy saucepan and add 2 to 3 more cups of water.

Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then lower heat and simmer, partially covered, for about 45 minutes, until the beans are cooked but still firm. Check occasionally and add water if necessary. Drain the beans, reserving the cooking liquid.

Melt the lard in a heavy skillet over medium heat. Add the beans and lightly fry them in the lard. Set aside. Melt the drippings in a large heavy pot over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until it is translucent.

Combine the sausage and the beef with all the spices up through the oregano. Add this meat-and-spice mixture to the pot with the onion. Break up any lumps with a fork and cook, stirring occasionally, until the meat is very well browned.

Add the reserved bean-cooking liquid to the pot. Stir in all the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil then lower the heat and cook, uncovered, for 1/2 hour longer. Stir occasionally. Add water only if necessary to maintain the consistency of a chunky soup. Serve.

Hydroponic comes from a Greek word, hydro meaning water while ponos means labour. Growing of plants without soil is popular for its efficiency as it allows large amount of food to be produced in a small space.

Hydroponic gardens and plantation require no soil as the nutrients are added directly to the water. The different ways to provide nutrition to water plants turns into a ""hydroponic system"". Hydroponics ensures that the plants get oxygen, nutrients and appropriate light for optimum growth and a better yield.

What can you grow with Hydroponic Systems?

Network Marketing Secrets - Explaining the MLM Home Business Concept - Harvesting Success

 by: Danny Despres

Perhaps one of the best ways to illustrate the difference between the poor and the rich is by looking at agriculture...

A farmer buys some seeds and all the machinery required to plant, grow and harvest them. Then the farmer spends months of unpaid work and a lot of his money to grow his seeds so that he can harvest later on and finally reap the rewards of all his hard work.

To speed things up, the farmer can spend more of his money and hire workers to plant and grow his seeds for him. The workers then invest their time to grow the farmer's business and when harvesting time comes, the workers get nothing of the rewards as they were already rewarded for their work (salary). The farmer makes so much (profits) from selling his harvest that he can pay more and more workers to do his work for him. The farmer ends up doing less and less...

Keep Fit With Essential Fatty Acids

Keep Fit With Essential Fatty Acids

 by: Chester Ku-Lea

Why should I increase my Omega fatty acid intake?

Our intake of essential fatty acids has changed radically in the last century. Our ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3 should be close to 1:1, but it is now over 10:1 and up to 20:1. This is due to the addition of corn, sunflower, safflower, sesame and other Omega-6 oils to our food supply. Such excesses are thought by many scientists to be a factor in a number of chronic medical conditions including arthritis, cardiovascular disease, asthma, acne, obesity and depression. It is clear that we need to increase our intake of Omega-3 fatty acids and decrease our intake of Omega-6 (linoleic acid) oils. By doing so we will be, look and feel healthier.

What are good fats and bad fats?

Fat is a concentrated source of energy. This source of energy is very useful during aerobic exercise. The longer the exercise, the higher the fat contribution...

Allergy Equals Addiction

Allergy Equals Addiction

 by: Jane Thurnell-Read

Craving particular foods can be a sign of a need for a nutrient that is in the food that is craved. The body is demanding food that contains a particular nutrient. This can be very straight-forward. For example, I spent three months in Sri Lanka, and my diet was very short of zinc. The moment I walked back into my house I reached for the jar of sunflower seeds (an excellent source of zinc) and started stuffing them down myself. Over the next few days I ate a huge amount of sunflower seeds. Initially I really craved them, but after a few days the obsession disappeared. It was only with hindsight that I realised why I had done that.

When gas/petrol contained lead, I had several clients who ate a lot of apples, but testing using kinesiology showed they were not allergic to them. It took me a while to realise why. Most of them were allergic to gas/petrol, which probably meant they were less able to...
